To begin, I first had to import a mannequin into Maya to get the scaling of the initial cube right.
After scaling the cube and the grid properly, I then bevelled the edges to make them round and soft.
The cube was then exported out of Maya and back into Unreal, where I made my material instancing set-up.
After messing around with the settings for a bit, I managed to get this cool material on my cube.
As I pondered what kind of structure I should make, the thought of a mushroom house popped into my head since I had been meaning to draw one but hadn't gotten the chance. After messing with the lights and effects in Unreal, I began to wonder if I could make it a glowing mushroom house. I looked up some references to see what I could find for examples.
I thought they looked very charming so I jumped at the opportunity to make my little house glow. These are the end results of my glowing mushroom house.
